While Netflix has made its name as a streaming service offering movies and TV series, including a vast library of original content, the platform has also started investing in games. Additionally, you can enjoy Netflix video games on iPad and iPhone.

How to Access Netflix Games on iPhone and iPad

Netflix’s Gaming Efforts
At the moment, Netflix has no plans to introduce another tier specifically dedicated to games. Instead, games added to Netflix will be available as part of a regular subscription, at no additional cost. Netflix is giving video games a big boost. The company first ventured into gaming with interactive titles like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and a Carmen Sandiego game. But starting in 2021, gaming has become a much bigger priority.: Netflix hired a former EA executive and let people play select mobile games for free as part of their subscriptions.
Since then, Netflix’s gaming arm has launched gamer tags for gamers and started hiring to develop a “AAA PC game,” while bringing in big names like former Halo lead Joseph Staten. Ubisoft even announced several games in development for Netflix, including an Assassin’s Creed title that accompanies a new live-action series both companies are working on. Netflix has also released more well-known titles like Monument Valley and a roguelike Tomb Raider.
Every day, more games
In August 2023, the company launched early tests of its cloud-streaming games, which allow its titles to be played on a TV or on the web, which could help Netflix more easily compete with other platforms non-mobile games.
Netflix continues to strengthen its range of games with the release of Hades on mobile iOS on March 19. The launch comes with a new trailer explaining how mobile controls will work for the hell-escaping roguelike, and you can pre-register for the game here.

Ubisoft is turning Rainbow Six into a tiny game for a new game on Netflix. The typically gritty world of Rainbow Six is getting a makeover. Ubisoft just revealed the franchise’s latest spinoff, a mobile game called Rainbow Six: Smol that cuts down on the tactical action and adds a lot of silly personality. The game is now available via Netflix Games on iOS and Android.
Increase the game catalog
“We saw an opportunity here to broaden the audience a bit, with a more accessible version of the Rainbow Six universe,” » declares creative director Renaud Forestié. The game features what Forestié describes as the pillars of the franchise, including Operator characters and destructible environments to open up new strategies, but introduces a top-down point of view and a pleasing art style. GTA is Netflix’s biggest game launch to date. It’s unclear how many people downloaded the GTA Mobile trilogy through Netflix, but the report states:
“This is our most successful launch to date in terms of installs and engagement, with some consumers clearly signing up simply to play these games.”
That said, video games still represent a relatively minor part of Netflix’s business. Although he stated that “engagement tripled last year”the company said the games remained “small, and certainly not yet significant compared to our film and series business.”
