As part of its earnings for the first quarter of FY22, 2K games parent company, Take two, Has announced that it will showcase a new franchise sometime this month.
Take-Two did not say which 2K Games studio will produce it, but it does say it will be released this fiscal year, which means some time between now and the end of March 2022.
According to some reports, fans have been speculating that this is the rumored Marvel XCOM game from Firaxis, which is a project that everyone wants to see at E3 or nearby. The game is not even mentioned, so it may be time for 2K Games to show it to the world.
Although Firaxis did release the Chimera Squad branch after XCOM 2 and its expansion pack ended, the team has been quietly researching new things ever since.
2K Games may also launch a new game Codename Volt from Hangar 13, the developer of “Mafia 3”, which is said to be an action game influenced by Saints Row and Lovecraftian. As for when we can see the new games; Gamescom will be held later in August this year and will become a sufficiently important stage. Of course, unless 2K has a bigger plan, such as a dedicated reveal activity.
In addition to this new franchise, Take-Two reiterated that Gearbox’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be launched in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year, which means the first quarter of the 2022 calendar year. Take-Two has other unannounced new franchises under development.
