The year 2023 is coming to an end. And as usual, a lot of games are released in December that want to benefit from the Christmas business. In this flood of new releases, little gems quickly get lost. We have a remedy for this: this article.
This time with a very special kind of building game, role-playing action for dungeon fans and hot strategy for cold evenings. Have fun with our five Steam insider tips for the weekend!

The Gnorp Apologue
Genre: Incremental building game | Steam-Release: December 14, 2023 | Preis: 5,69 Euro

In this game you let Gnorps do all the work for you
This article took about twice as much time as usual. It’s the fault of the Gnorps, who are hitting rocks on my third monitor and need a few inputs every now and then. The Gnorp Apologue is a so-called Incremental Game/Clicker-Spiel and revolves around small creatures that break down rocks, build houses and stations out of them, become stronger and more numerous, learn new tricks and thus work more and more efficiently.
This has many advocates on Steam: The Gnorp Apologue achieved 96 percent approval from over 1,400 users who submitted a rating. And apparently like to be distracted from work.

Dungeons of Sundaria: New action role-playing game presented in trailer
If you like exploring dungeons, this could be the right place for you: Dungeons of Sundaria is pretty straightforward, relying on action-packed exploration of huge dungeons, challenging fights against seemingly overpowering bosses and many classic role-playing virtues. You create a character from different races and classes and can plunge into battle either alone or in co-op with friends.
Dungeons of Sundaria delights the majority of players: On Steam, the game achieved 75 percent approval from over 1,300 reviewers.
Stellar Link
Genre: Online strategy game | Steam-Release: 12. Dezember 2023 (Early Access) | Preis: 14,99 Euro

The New Stellaris: Three minutes of gameplay from the turn-based Nexus
Unexpectedly niche insider tip: With the blessing of publisher Paradox, Whatboy Games developed a fast, compact spin-off of the gigantic 4X strategy game Stellaris. In Stellaris Nexus you compete against up to five other players to leave your mark on a virtual galaxy in short games lasting around an hour.
Despite a big name and publisher, Stellaris Nexus flies completely under the radar. There are just 266 active players at the same time SteamDB. Anyone who dares to try it is usually satisfied: the game receives 93 percent positive Steam ratings from 228 reviewers.
Stellaris isn’t the only 4X game in space. For example, do you know Distant Worlds 2?
Mind Over Magic

In Mind over Magic you can build your own magic school and explore dark dungeons
Dumbledore would be proud: In Mind Over Magic you build your own magic school, train young magicians and send them on dangerous missions. The whole thing comes in a very harmonious style. Take a look at the trailer and you’ll know what I mean.
Mind Over Magic is already very well received in Early Access: The construction and management game achieved 91 percent approval on Steam.
