Assassin’s Creed returns once again in a game in a new form. This allows you to focus on a story that you can shape however you want.
For those who have already completed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, there’s new content to dig into soon! Thanks to Arkhane Asylum Publishing, to whom we also owe the board games Fallout, Cyberpunk 2077 and Avatar Legends, an Assassin’s Creed role-playing game is indeed about to arrive in France. Pre-orders are possible on the website until March 2024. Aimed at all audiences, it is not necessary to have run dozens of D&D campaigns to appreciate this new release. In addition, it adapts to any budget with three different boxes at $35, $100 and $160 (special prices).
A surprising new Assassin’s Creed game
The Assassin’s Creed RPG is meant to be super accessible. The 35 euro offer includes the Animus manual, everything you need to play. In this work we will of course find the rules of the game, but also detailed explanations of the lore and plot in which this role-playing game takes place. Each scenario can be completed in a single session, eliminating the need to plan multiple weekends to complete a campaign. In addition, the Mach system, a set of original rules, allows you to understand the tricks very quickly. It is based on 2 sets of 6 dice each, which are only available in Assassin’s Creed. Although everything is simplified, this does not prevent players from letting their imagination run wild, in fact it is largely encouraged by an adapted narrative.
In this new Assassin’s Creed RPG, players take on the role of Descendants, modern-day heirs of former Brotherhood assassins. Thanks to Animus technology, role players can unlock various memories of their ancestors. This will allow them to discover parts of the story that they may or may not explore as they wish. Divided into historical sections, these narrative arcs allow you to delve into different themes and eras while constructing your own epic. The Descendants still have one overarching goal: to win the secret war against the Templars. They will do everything in their power to preserve the free will of humanity.
Something that brings joy to the fans
The slightly more expensive formats Master Assassin for 100 dollars (instead of 165 dollars) and Legendary Assassin for 160 dollars (instead of 245 dollars) let Assassin’s Creed fans really have fun. In the first we also find a campaign book called “Shaping History” for additional scenarios, but also a collection called “The Legacy of the Brotherhood” which contains a lot of biographical information about different protagonists of the saga. In the second we also find a whole package of accessories, from the dice set to the figures to the collector’s case!
Note that the higher the game, the more bonuses you will receive. The leveling system allows you to collect some goodies and other additional gifts. At the time of writing, 30 full-color character sheets are being offered to all buyers.
