For a few days, the short sound, which is clearly dark: Expedition 33, could have to extend adventure with a DLC. Sandfall interactively spoke to clarify things.
Available since April 24th, Clair Dark: Expedition 33 is currently on the lips of everyone. It must be said that the French studio has given life behind the creation of the game, Sandfall Interactive, a real phenomenon. Emmanuel Macron's studio proudly announced this week that it has reached the very beautiful level of the two million copies of nine days sold. In view of such a success, a question is inevitably returned: Can we expect one or more DLCs in the future?
DLC is approaching Clear Obscure: Expedition 33?
If you have followed the messages in the past few days, you have probably seen that the information was passed after a possibility. The source? The screenwriter of the game, Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, who answered this to an internet user on Instagram: “We always said that if there was a strong desire for the players, we would like to do a little more, and based on the previous answers, I would say that the chances are good.”. But it finally seems that we shouldn't take this too much for cash.
And for good reason, interviewed on this topic during an interview for Washington Post, Guillaume Broche and Tom Guillermin, the founders of the studio, wanted to make things clear. There is absolutely nothing on the program after them. In fact, the team mainly focuses on the improvements that can be made on the title, which seems to ask for a lot of energy. “We are emptied. We are all involved, there is nothing left.” In particular, Brosche said a little further in the interview.
Who will live
For his part, Svedberg-Yen assured that his comments had been released from her context and that it does not necessarily refer to the arrival of future extensions. In the immediate vicinity, it is therefore wiser not to expect too much from Sandfall, which, as we remember, remains a small team that is made up of only thirty developers. However, it would not be the first time that a studio refused information before returning there later. We will therefore see what the future of Clair Dunkel really has for us in stock.
