The series everyone is waiting for, The Walking Dead, has just unveiled a brand new trailer, and it’s clearly very heavy. We also benefit from the return of several characters.
AMC has released the final trailer for its new The Walking Dead spin-off series titled The Ones Who Live, scheduled for February 25th. This trailer finally marks the return of Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes and expresses his desire to return home. At the same time, Michonne, played by Danai Gurira, seems to find herself in the middle of a post-apocalyptic war zone.
A summit for The Walking Dead
Although the trailer hints at a possible reunion between the two characters, it isn’t explicitly shown, so fans will have to wait to see them side by side on screen again unless something unfortunate happens to them first. The show’s writers are known for their ability to play with viewers’ emotions, oscillating between malice and cruelty depending on their perspective. At the same time, an important poster for the series was unveiled.
Pollyanna McIntosh also reprises her role as Jadis in “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” and appears in the new trailer alongside newcomers such as Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate and Andrew Bachelor. Scott M. Gimple directs the series and stars Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Denise Huth, Brian Bockrath and Greg Nicotero.
According to AMC’s official synopsis, the series states: “an epic love story between two characters shocked by a changed world. Separated by distance, an irresistible force and the shadows of their past “. From what we can see below, it promises in terms of emotions and actions. And what a joy to find Rick again after so many years. Hopefully nothing bad can happen to him.
A bright future
Originally planned as a film trilogy, the production ultimately decided to adapt it into a television series. It follows in the footsteps of several projects derived from The Walking Dead. Additionally, AMC has confirmed production of a second season for Dead City starring Negan and Maggie, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan. Another season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” starring Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride is also in the works. It’s pretty crazy to see how well TWD was able to bounce back after a lackluster main series. While everyone thought the work was dead and buried, all viewers seem to be excited about all these spin-offs. So you just had to hold on.
