Games from the vast Star Wars universe have explored many, but not all, genres. This game, developed by a fan and available for free, partially solves this pitfall in a very convincing way!
This game called Deathtroopers: A Star Wars Horror Story is available for free on Itch.io. Compared to what we know about video game adaptations of the George Lucas universe, it’s definitely exceptional. However, connoisseurs will recognize the reference to Joe Schreiber’s 2010 novel of the same name.
In Star Wars space, no one will hear you scream
Stefano Cagnani was inspired to some extent by Star Wars Battlefront’s gameplay and made for a definitely terrible twist. Like the 2010 book of the same name, Deathtroopers puts us in the shoes of a stormtrooper as the ship he serves on is plagued by a strange evil. The other crew members have actually turned into zombies and other undead horrors with only one goal: to gorge themselves on flesh (human or alien, it doesn’t matter).

Before you test this little amateur Star Wars game like no other, there is also a trailer. However, it is important to point out that this is a horror game in its purest form. The elements depicted in Deathtroopers are particularly graphic and the atmosphere is depressing. Sensitive souls should therefore abstain.
