If you already know Cyberpunk 2077 like the back of your hand, this new feature that offers an important change could be a nice breath of fresh air.
In the basic version, Cyberpunk 2077 offers three paths for V: Corpo, Street Kid or Nomad. Each offers a very different introduction, but also specific dialogue options that can unlock certain situations or add more depth to the character. If you played the game well, you should know all of this by heart. This is where an already mentioned mod comes into play that could shake up your habits in Night City a little.
More choices for V's origin in Cyberpunk 2077
Last October we talked to you about a Deceptious mod that is still in development Introduction to the new path in life – new beginnings. As the name suggests, it aims to offer a fresh start for V with a brand new intro. With this mod installed, you can choose a new origin for your character on the special selection screen. This suggests mixing Corpo and Nomad. So it's possible to play a cyberpunk with a turbulent past who becomes a nomad after leaving a megacorporation and returning to Night City.
In addition to a new intro for Cyberpunk 2077, the mod also allows you to use dialogue lines from the Corpo and Nomad origins throughout the adventure. However, to discover all this, it is imperative to start a completely new backup. If you happen to not have played the excellent Phantom Liberty DLC yet or want to wait for the probably very distant release of Cyberpunk 2, this is a pretty nice motivation.
The mod can be downloaded from Nexus Mods and is therefore currently only available on PC. Installation is also extremely easy: simply unzip the folder in that of Cyberpunk 2077. The mod files should then install in the corresponding folders of the game. It is also possible to go through Vortex, the Nexus Mod Manager.
