If you’re having detection issues with the PSVR 2, a hidden menu on PS5 can help you fix it. Here’s how to get there.
As is often the case with the release of a high-tech product, not everything is always in focus, and PSVR 2 is not immune to a few mist akes either. But before you ship your prized PS5 headset back, a trip to the console settings could save the day.
While some buyers are taking full advantage of PSVR 2, others are experiencing a bug on the right Sense controller. A very random problem that can even vary from game to game. While we’re waiting to see more clearly, another problem related to tracking, that is, monitoring the helmet and its controls, could arise.
In case you face such an anomaly and simply closing/reopening the application is not enough, there is a hidden functionality in the PS5 menus. A called option « Tracking support »
- Go to “Accessories”
- Then PlayStation VR2
- Then under “Other”
- Then click on “Location help”.
As seen in the image below, this will activate a frame – with PlayStation icons – around the current PSVR 2 game.
Enable this setting if tracking errors occur frequently or the VR screen moves on its own. A frame is placed around your TV screen so the VR headset can easily see it.
Even more games
The PSVR 2 lineup has grown even bigger over the past few days. Since the initial list of 30 games, Sony has announced 10 new ones and more during the State of Play.
Since buying the PS VR 2 headset and a title at launch is already quite expensive, the PlayStation Store allows you to try out hits like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village or Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, but also :
- song in the smoke
- Cosmonic High
- Mysterious places
