One of the biggest films in the Disney+ January 2025 releases is finally available. If you like adventure, you'll be well served even if the feature film is divisive.
Like Netflix, Prime Video and Max, Disney+ has put the first releases of films, series, documentaries and shows online for January 2025. What's new for the company with big ears? For fans of the legendary animated series The SimpsonsThings get off to a flying start with the 36th season, which has been available since Friday, January 3, 2025. But to continue this momentum, the video streaming platform has added a relatively new film. Get out your best hat, leather jacket and whip.
One of the most popular sagas is returning to Disney+
Disney+ has more than one ace up its sleeve with new films and series for 2025. In the coming months, the SVOD service will offer several Marvel series such as Daredevil Born Again, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man, Season 2 of Star Wars Andor or The TV show Alien Earth, which is also expected soon. But first, let's take a look at the new additions for the week of December 30, 2024 to January 5, 2025. In addition to the 36th season of The Simpsons, Disney + is bringing back a cinema icon: Indiana Jones.
After removing the quadrilogy from its servers, Disney+ is offering its subscribers the opportunity to rewatch the four films starring Harrison Ford for the umpteenth time. But that in itself is not new. On the other hand, the arrival of Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny are one and the same. The fifth part of the adventurer and archeology professor's adventures has been available on the platform since Friday, January 3, 2025. After a few months of waiting due to media chronology, this episode is directed by James Mangold (Logan, The man 66…) ended up on Disney+.
While Indiana Jones remains one of the greatest film sagas of all time, it hasn't done fans any favors in recent years. Whether with The Kingdom of the Crystal Skullor here with The Dial of Destinythe films were not celebrated. Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny was a major flop even for Mickey's company, losing around $130 million at the box office and receiving mixed reviews. Now it's up to you to form your opinion on one of the week's big releases on Disney+.
