New weekend, new bargain for PS5 and PS4 players. For a few days, one of the big releases of the year is available for free.
For PC and Xbox gamers, the weekend has become synonymous with free games in recent years. Almost systematically, with a few exceptions, Xbox Game Pass subscribers and Steam users can benefit from test versions of current and old productions. Although they are mostly aimed at multiplayer, it sometimes happens that they allow you to test solo titles for free for a few days. As the end-of-year holidays approach, publishers have been multiplying initiatives like this. This weekend too, PS5 players are once again entitled to their free weekend game and it’s one of the big releases of the year.
Call of Modern Warfare 3 is free for PS5 and PS4
New week, new free trial for PS5 players. This time we have to turn to Activision, which is attempting a large-scale seduction campaign as the year-end holidays begin. His mission is to put as much Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 under the tree despite the more than lukewarm response this year. With the first season’s final episode, the publisher invites all players to find out what’s in their stomach. COD Modern Warfare 3 can be played for free on PS5 and PS4 until December 18, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Please note that the short solo campaign will not be accessible. This weekend, the multiplayer mode in particular can be tested. In other words, you’ll need a PlayStation Plus subscription, which is mandatory for online play on both consoles.
During this free trial, PS5 and PS4 players will have access to all multimodes and their maps. These include the Flesh mode, Zombies mode, introduced most recently in Season 1, or even the Operation Spearhead war mode, in which you have to complete multiple attack or defense objectives in 6v6 mode. For those in the know, here are all the maps available on PS5 and PlayStation 4 this free weekend:
- Basic cards in 6v6: Terminal, Rust, Highrise, Shipment, Afghan, Meat.
- Land War Maps: Popov Power, Orlov Military Base, Levin Resort.
- Standard modes: Team Deathmatch, Strategic Point, Domination, Confirmed Elimination, Ground War, War.
- Selection: Rustment 24/24 (Shipment and Rust), War Mode, Moshpit 6v6 (including Highrise, Meat, Afghan and Terminal), Ground War, Modern Warfare Zombies.
