The new “free” PS Plus games are now available. A new trio consisting of a day one release from Square Enix, Foamstars, but also two modest but no less interesting productions: Rollerdrome and Steelrising. An honest selection (we’ve seen worse to be honest) but far from being to everyone’s taste. New week, new benefit for PlayStation Plus Premium members. Sony regularly provides you with “free trial versions” with which you can test both current and older productions. More generous demos than usual, because while they generally only last a few dozen minutes, here we count them in several hours. This is generally more than enough to get an idea of the game mechanics, atmosphere or even technology for the pickiest players. For example, since the beginning of the month, PS Plus Premium subscribers have been able to try out Alan Wake 2 for two hours. This week it’s one of the most massive exclusives it’s won at the various ceremonies that deserves the same treatment: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The continuation of the misadventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales can therefore be put to the test for two hours. Knowing that the main story takes about fifteen hours to complete, you have the opportunity to find out whether this sequel is worth it or not. Even if the transverse mechanics are unlocked gradually, these few hours are more than enough. Especially since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is more or less the same, only better. Let’s say if you’ve already done the previous episodes you’re in familiar territory. This trial, reserved for PS Plus Premium subscribers, still allows you to discover some new features and is a good appetizer for those still hesitant to checkout.
