Apple’s iPad lineup is broad, but the Cupertino-based manufacturer seems to have found a gap. A Bloomberg report according to Apple is working on a kind of low-cost iPad that, similar to the Amazon Echo Show, is intended for taking video calls and controlling the smart home.

The iPhone inventor is also rumored to be hatching another smart home device that will combine HomePod, Apple TV and FaceTime camera. But the development seems to have stalled. Apple introduced a new HomePod this week.
