Ghost of Tsushima has barely been released on PC and we are already entitled to the very first post-launch update. With a nice surprise to improve optimization.
The first post-launch update for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC is now available, bringing stability improvements and fixes for certain features. Particularly in terms of gaining optimization even if you don’t have a war machine at home. It’s always nice, you have to admit.
Ghost of Tsushima gets better
This update, numbered 1053.0.0522.1042, focuses on improving the stability of the game. In particular, it fixes visual errors that occurred when switching from cutscenes to gameplay with DLSS 3 frame generation enabled. In addition, visual issues that occurred when using AMD FSR 3 upscaling in combination with dynamic resolution have also been fixed.
Despite some stability issues faced by users, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut managed to become the most successful PlayStation launch on Steam. The game set a new record for concurrent players among Sony’s single-player games on the platform, surpassing the previous record held by God of War. This success, accompanied by the good performance of Helldivers II, shows that Sony is reaping the rewards of its PC releases and could encourage the company to release its PlayStation exclusives on this platform more quickly. And then we have to admit that medieval Japan has always been very successful.
Nixxes Studios and Sucker Punch have confirmed that they are already working on future updates to continue to fix issues reported by the community and improve stability on various hardware configurations. These efforts aim to improve the gameplay experience for both the single-player campaign and Legends multiplayer.
The PC TEST will appear on iGamesNews shortly, just to give you a better idea.
