It was a surprise for all viewers: the Harry Potter voice actor is in the new season of Secret Story. And now he’s facing an embarrassing situation.

Whether we like it or not, Secret Story was a staple of French television in the 2000s and 2010s before going on hiatus seven years ago: the reality TV show is now back and is already getting people talking about it talk. The concept is always the same: The contestants live together in a huge loft and each has a secret they must keep to win the competition.
And among the chosen ones we find Kelyan Blancfar from unknown, since he is an actor whose voice is one of the most widespread: This is the voice actor for Harry Potter. His secret (and therefore it is not surprising) was revealed to viewers by the production from the beginning, but the other contestants were obviously not revealed.

The eternal debate
Through a conversation, Kelyan and two other candidates, Perrine and Alexis, started with the topic of VF and VO in films and series. And more specifically, the Prison Break case was discussed. “It’s crazy to watch this in French. It hurts my ears, that’s not possible.”
Obviously Kelyan is an ardent defender of the VF, but He has to protect his secret and therefore has to criticize the synchronization to conceal his identity. It is thus based on the French dubbing in Japanese anime: “You can’t respect the tone in Japanese, it’s impossible. It’s the culture that means it wouldn’t sound good in French.” Which immediately reassured the person she was talking to, who described the practice as “terrible” the entire time.
