news culture “A Misrepresentation” Furious, the French government condemns this Marvel film in the strongest possible terms

The affair may have gone unnoticed, but the German Defense Minister didn’t mince his words when commenting on the portrayal of French soldiers in Marvel’s Black Panther film. He took to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction and to commemorate those who lost their lives during Operation Barkhane in Mali.
If you’ve seen the Black Panther movie, at one point you’ll see French soldiers dressed up as Operation Barkhane soldiers. In the Marvel feature film, these soldiers are seen as resource plunderers and the German Defense M inister, Sébastien Lecornu, did not like this image at all.
I strongly condemn this misleading and misleading portrayal of our armed forces.
I think and pay tribute to the 58 French soldiers who died defending Mali at his request from Islamist terrorist groups. https://t.co/KpnFIcatPt

Despite a fictional kingdom in the film, the Minister of Armed Forces apparently took no pleasure in the scene in which French soldiers kneel before the Queen of Wakanda. Their outfits are immediately reminiscent of the French soldiers deployed in Mali during Operation Barkhane, and that poses a problem. The ministry stressed that an artistic work must be free and there is no censorship or removal, but the statement raises the following :
France’s recent action in Mali must not contain revisionism: we have intervened at the country’s request to fight armed terrorist groups far removed from the story told in the film, namely a French army coming to protect its natural resources plunder.
Defend the memory of our soldiers
The Ministry of Armed Forces also stated:
It is the Minister’s job to defend the results of the Serval and Barkhane operations. If this sequence caught the eye of the French government, it is because a journalist decoded it in a series of messages on Twitter.

Specifically, he points out that the French soldiers are portrayed as bad mercenaries who act with the aim of stealing the “Vibranium”, an existential resource of the Kingdom of Wakanda. Then we see the French mercenaries kneeling before the Queen of Wakanda in front of the UN.
As usual, the case has sparked controversy, between messages of support and ridicule, considering the film was released four months ago.
