The PS Plus has finally come to the side to compete with Xbox Game Pass. If the two competitors have a very different strategy, both allow players to discover an ever-changing catalog of games.
Every month, the Japanese publisher not only announces free PS Plus games for all subscribers, but also PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium additions and releases. Except that Sony removed a feature from the PS Store that was very useful.
The PS Plus Extra is a little more opaque
The launch of the new PS Plus formulas has been accompanied by some changes for subscribers. Now, through dedicated tabs, they can see the games in the PS+ Extra & Premium catalog and easily find out which ones have arrived or are about to leave. But strictly speaking, Sony has discreetly removed the most important information: the start date of the PS Plus games is no longer displayed. As several players have noted, it is now impossible to know on a game’s side when a game is going out of the catalog.
Less intuitive and time-consuming, players then absolutely must go to the Last Chance to Play It section to find out if the game they’re interested in is about to leave the PS Plus Extra. Except that the departure date is not displayed either. We could say “Yes, but there’s internet,” except that Sony also doesn’t specify when a title will be unavailable in its monthly article. True intention of the editor or annoying bug? Only PlayStation knows, but the community is completely confused.
