The SVOD giant pulls out of his hat an animation project all about Tekken, Bloodline. The series focuses on Jin Kazama and his preparation for the King of Iron Fist tournament.
Without Tekken 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC, the fighting franchise developed by Bandai Namco is attempting a new foray into the small screen. This time the license can count on the Netflix juggernaut announcing the animated series Tekken Bloodline.
A family story
As the following tweet suggests, Tekken Bloodline will focus on Jin Kazama, a central character who has joined the cast of Tekken 3. The anime series that will be available in 2022will trace the fighter’s youth, in particular recounting the death of his mother Jun at the hands of the ogre.
Jin Kazama will then go in search of his grandfather Heihachi Mishima to complete his training to avenge his mother during the King of Iron Fist tournament.

Despite the teachings of his mother, who taught him traditional martial arts in true Kazama style from an early age, Jin Kazama was unable to stop a demonic being from destroying everything he held dear, changing his life forever. Angry at himself, Jin has sworn revenge and seeks absolute power to achieve his goals. His epic will lead him to the ultimate fight in a world arena: the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
In addition to the characters already mentioned, we also see king, Paul Phoenix as well as Leroy Smith. The latter is the youngest of the band, despite being in his fifties, as he only appeared in Season 3 of Tekken 7.
Tekken Bloodline: a finally successful adaptation?
This isn’t the first time that Katsuhiro Harada’s legendary saga has been exported beyond the video game. She actually had a live-action film in 2010 that was the subject of direct-to-video in Europe and the United States, and two animation projects.
