Whether it’s games coming out this year or features slated to be added to its platforms soon, Microsoft has been sprucing up something new for several months now. And to believe a new rumor, the Phil Spencer Company might be communicating again soon.

The rumor of the day came from Mary Jo Foley, reporter for the website ZDnet
Still after Mary Jo Foley This event would be in addition to the annual Microsoft Build conference but would be separate from the next developer game stack scheduled for this month of April.
At the time of this writing, it is impossible to say what this virtual event will be made of when it is actually planned. It should be noted, however, that a few days ago Microsoft published a “conference” dealing with games. [email protected] and that there will be an Age of Empires event soon.
What could it be about?
As a reminder, Jason Ronald, the “Director of Program Administration“from Xbox at Microsoft said early last month that none of the games planned for Xbox this year had yet been announced. The company Redmond could therefore offer an event that would, among other things, deal with games for Xbox Series X | S.
The announcement of new games isn’t the only motivation Microsoft might have to speak out, however. In fact, Xbox has also promised that new features will be unveiled on the platform page in the coming months.
The American manufacturer has already presented the addition of FPS Boost for some games, indicating that this may have something to say about backward compatibility (in addition to the fact that some old titles can be used via the cloud). So there are many issues that Microsoft may be addressing in the next few weeks.
Now we have to wait for a possible announcement from Phil Spencer and Company. As a reminder, it was announced today that Microsoft will participate in the virtual E3 2021 next June.
