The PSVR 2 may have the right to a new exclusive from its launch or a few days after, but it will be disappointed.
Overall, 2023 should be a very rich year for video games. Many games are indeed expected across all platforms, especially as many of these were originally scheduled for 2021-2022 and have been postponed. That’s the case again with this PS5, PS4 and PSVR exclusive game.
A new game exclusive to PSVR 2?
Humanity, does that mean something to you? It is a puzzle game that was presented in 2019 and has subsequently brought very little news until today. A title announced at the time as exclusive to PS4 and PSVR that will offer us control of a crowd in need of help through what appear to be large-scale experiments.

The reasons ? We don’t know them. Despite this, it is certain that the postponement is related to the upcoming release of PSVR 2. As a reminder, Sony had announced that PSVR games would not be natively compatible with PSVR 2 under the pretense that the headset would use entirely different technologies. It could therefore be that Humanity has decided to take the next generation step by focusing on PSVR 2.
Also, the game doesn’t have a release date, so we can hope that it will eventually see the light of day at the same time as Sony’s new headphones, or shortly after. But only the developers can tell us that. They also said more information would come in early 2023.
Finally, note that the game will also be playable without VR mode and should therefore be available on PS4 and PS5, even without PSVR 2.
