Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is unfortunately the subject of a leak. This confirms previous leaks regarding future DLC. Our two dear weavers should behave better.
After the horrific ransomware attack on Insomniac Games late last year, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had almost no secrets left to hide. But concept art for a future DLC has managed to escape this web… and has been freshly leaked.
A future supervillain from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is spreading his wings
After an overwhelming success last October, the PS5 exclusive games Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Insomniac Games were deeply touched. A violent hack led to massive leaks surrounding the game and the studio’s future projects. Including a reference to a DLC about the supervillain Beetle. In the comic universe, it was originally the mechanic Abner Jenkins who hid behind this criminal identity. However, the newly leaked concept art appears to focus on a different Beetle: Janice Lincoln. For the record, she is the daughter of Tombstone, a recurring villain in Insomniac Games games.
It therefore seems that his daughter has decided to take up her father’s torch to make life difficult for our two weavers. More specifically, his costume would take the form of armor equipped with new technologies. If this escape concept art turns out to be accurate, Peter Parker and Miles Morales will soon have trouble with this supervillain in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
A new story arc for the Weavers
The work of the two superheroes in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 does not seem to be finished yet. After a spectacular main story, Insomniac Games still has plenty of ideas to torment our two Weavers. It remains to be seen when this new narrative arc will be implemented. The last official news about the game came last month with the deployment of a major patch.
In addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games lives up to its name. Sony’s flagship studio is working on Marvel’s Wolverine as well as other Spider-Man games. Despite the terrible backlash from hackers and layoffs, the work of these real-life superheroes continues, for better or worse. Unfortunately, the collateral damage of these sad developments also included the cancellation of a promising multiplayer Spider-Man game. This despite a certain enthusiasm from the fans.
