Rebellion continues to talk about Sniper Elite 5 with a brand new trailer. Today’s video focuses on one of the game’s flagship features: the famous kill cam.
Sniper Elite 5 is scheduled for May 26th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S appear, marking the great return of Karl Fairburne. This time the OSS agent will strike in the direction of France in order, as always, to put a stop to the Nazi projects. Once again it is about stopping a revolutionary armaments program.
Sniper Elite 5: the arms race
After the P.1000 land cruiser from episode 3 and the Henschel Hs 293 missile from episode 4, the Kraken project (which is about submarines) will now be the target of Sniper Elite 5. However, the trailer of the day focuses on another novelty of the game: the kill cam. This slow motion, which allows us to see our projectile destroying the organs of our targets, represents one of the main features of the game. But if the latter has been present since the beginning of the series, until then it was reserved for the sniper rifle.
As we can see in this trailer, the kill cam will now trigger even when using shorter ranged weapons. The Pistol, SMG, or Shotgun can now trigger the animation, just like the Knife. You got it, in this Sniper Elite 5 we are entitled to close-up shots of organs that are reduced to a pulp quite often.

More freedom
Sniper Elite 5 will also have maps that offer multiple infiltration and exfiltration points. The player will therefore be able to enjoy much greater tactical freedom. This should also make the game a little less linear while increasing replay value. We remind you that this new episode will be entirely playable in coop, allowing simultaneous shooting.
If you’ve ever been hyped, you know pre-orders are open for the game. Those who check out now are eligible for some bonuses including the mission to assassinate Hitler.
