The PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade welcomes a new update today with a whole host of free content as a special bonus this time of year.
Despite the post-apocalyptic atmosphere full of melancholy, the festive Christmas spirit is coming to Stellar Blade today with a new update. This is an opportunity, especially for the city of Xion, Eve or Adam, to celebrate the end of the year in beauty and color, but also add new thematic activities to spice everything up. We unpack what Shift Up put together for the event.
Stellar Blade celebrates Christmas with new free content
While Stellar Blade was the subject of a (paid) collaboration with NieR Automata and an additional update added a photo mode, Shift Up adds the magic of Christmas to this game. The city of Xion takes the opportunity to get a facelift with a tree, garlands and snowmen on the program. Likewise, Eve, Adam and his drone unearthed corresponding costumes from the rubble, as you can see below.
That's not all that the special Christmas update brings to Stellar Blade. The camp jukebox is also filled with two new songs: “ dawn (winter) ” and ” Take me with you » to lighten the atmosphere after killing the deformed monster on the chain. Finally, Xion welcomes a new target shooting mini-game with various gifts for top marksmen to win.
However, if you're not in the festive mood, the new Stellar Blade update also offers an option to enable or disable content related to seasonal events or the NieR Automata DLC. These can now be activated or deactivated depending on your current mood. This will likely be the latest news on Shift Up's PS5 exclusivity for this year. However, the Korean studio should return sometime in 2025 to reveal more details about an already confirmed PC version of Stellar Blade or even news about its future projects, including possibly a sequel.
