EA FC 24 has received another new update with a number of changes. You will see that they are quite extensive.
Electronic Arts has been drawing the ire of gamers lately. There was a problem in EA FC 24 for good reason. The latter impacted the Team Creation Challenges system, with an over-distribution of Lionel Messi’s Team of the Year cards. We won’t go into detail about the affair, but some people felt it “broke the game.” The publisher’s reaction wasn’t to everyone’s liking, but perhaps that’s true for the new update it released. It brings some welcome changes to the experience.
A new update for EA FC 24
FYI: This ninth major patch has been available since February 6th. But it’s never too late to let you know about the changes that EA FC 24 has undergone. This time we will mainly focus on the gameplay. The majority of the update concerns impacts from the outside of the foot, in addition to the stability improvement. This mechanic has been reworked and will now be visibly less effective. It’s a way to force the player to rethink his style of play, especially when standing in front of the goal ready to shoot.
Apart from this retouching, which can change a lot, there is not much important to highlight. This is not to say that there is nothing interesting to note. Above all, we face multiple and varied corrective measures. Again, the goal (no pun intended) is to eliminate as many bugs as possible to ensure higher quality games. EA FC 24 owners probably won’t say no to these changes, especially since losing a game due to a technical issue can be annoying.
Update 9 patch notes
Below we give you the full list of changes that Update 9 brings to EA FC 24. As we explained to you, there are some interesting changes to note. It goes without saying that this will be good for the game, even if it won’t necessarily assuage players’ anger over the major bug that caused controversy. We let you discover it all:
Ultimate team
- A stability issue may occur when placing a previously evolved player item in an evolution slot.
- The rarity of some player items may be displayed incorrectly.
- The video player in the news menu has not been expanded to full screen.
- In rare cases, pyrotechnics can occur in the midfield in EA FC 24.
Career mode
- In Player Career, duplicate requests could appear in the Decisions tab.
- Players could use the Bell Shooting PlayStyles without meeting their requirements.
- In Player’s Career, some training exercises did not use the player-created pro.
Play style
- Improved AI teammate positioning and marking decisions in back pass scenarios.
- The effectiveness of outside shots for players with or without PlayStyle has been reduced.
- Moderate reduction in accuracy of strikes with the outside of the foot.
- The logic for calling fouls by the referee inside the penalty area after a free throw attempt has been improved.
- The maximum topspin potential the ball can have when hit from outside has been reduced.
- Updated player selection logic when using secondary selection.
- Sometimes the attacking player could inadvertently trip over the defender’s arms while trying to make a tackle.
- In certain situations, the goalkeeper may make a mistake when picking up the ball after it has passed the foot of a teammate.
General, audio and video in EA FC 24
- Some billboards, player models, trophies, chants, jerseys, hair, sleeve sponsors and badges, shoes, balls, faces, stadium themes, VIP areas, game scenes and tifos have been updated.
- In some technical set pieces the defensive wall was not always positioned as expected.
- Fixed cases of stability issues that could occur.
- In some set pieces in training, the defending team did not always position the wall as expected.
- Fixed cases where the UI would not display correctly in certain technical games.
- Fixed cases of alternative text and images in EA FC 24.
