The hit title A Plague Tale: Requiem from last fall has now received a new update that gives the title the performance mode. You can look forward to optimizations on the PC as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio are technically taking the successful title A Plague Tale: Requiem to a new level. A fresh update was released today, which gives the action-adventure the new performance mode; From next week, the cloud version for the switch should also benefit from this.
The emotional journey through the game’s medieval world, turned upside down by supernatural forces, will flow more smoothly on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. In performance mode, you can now look forward to support for 60 fps. If you use this option, you only reduce the other optical quality minimally – at least that’s what the developers promise. If you are not ready for this, you can also stick with the classic resolution mode. In the new 60 fps performance mode, however, the resolution is reduced slightly, but the gameplay is buttery smooth.
On the PC, however, the update brings the possibility of further adjusting the graphical performance thanks to new options. Depending on the configuration of your computer, you can play around here and try out the new options to get the most out of the PC and enjoy A Plague Tale: Requiem even more visually.
Detached from these improvements, there are all sorts of bug fixes on all platforms – including the Xbox Series S – thanks to the update, so that various errors that still exist should be a thing of the past.
