The music of the game is undoubtedly one of Shenmue’s many strengths: the result of a collaboration between several renowned composers such as Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Yz Koshiro and Ryji Iuchi, the original Shenmue soundtrack left a lasting impression. Today a new derivative pays homage to the music of Yu Suzuki’s work.

Way Records, a label specializing in video game soundtrack marketing, has just announced the new product in its Way Music Box collection. As the title of this message suggests, this new product is a music box that exudes the musical theme of Shenhua Shenmue.
Inspired by the mirror of the phoenix in the game, this music box plays a version of Shenhua’s theme arranged by Ryji Iuchi, the composer of the original music. And to make Shenmue fans even more excited, the first 250 buyers of it Away music box Shenmue
Way Records declares that its jukeboxes “from the best materials“and”completely autonomous. “In fact, they are activated by the winder and trigger (the mechanical winder is placed under the box).
With this Shenmue box, the box interprets a 30-second arrangement of the Shenhua’s theme (10-round loop). Way also speaks of a “High-end precision mechanism with a rotating cylinder with 30 blades
As is to be expected, such a product comes at a price. The most motivated Shenmue fans have to pay 274.80 dollars to get this Shenmue Way Music Box. Pre-orders are now possible and delivery is planned for next fall.
