A few months ago, images circulated of Forza Motorsport on Xbox One…while the game is being sold as a New-Gen Exclusive. The developers are definitely cleaning up.
Turn10 Studios was finally able to get their say and show Forza Motorsport in more detail. A rather short but dense presentation, with a lot of new information and gameplay excerpts. Could the revealed version finally be running on Xbox One?
Forza Motorsport on Xbox Series, PC… and Xbox One?
The developers of Forza Motorsport aim high with their simulation. They don’t hesitate to call their baby the racing game “the most technically advanced ever developed”. According to Turn10, a high level of fidelity for an exclusive game made specifically for the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
However, we saw images of an Xbox One version floating around last year. Did the teams forget to tell us something during the Xbox Direct Showcase? Yes and no. FM8 will not be available natively on One, but console owners can fully enjoy the game via Microsoft’s cloud gaming.
Forza Motorsport was built from the ground up to harness the power and performance of the Xbox Series X|S consoles and deliver our most beautiful and technically advanced game yet. While there isn’t a native Xbox One version of the title, One players can play it through Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

In its Forza Motorsport FAQ after the presentation, Turn10 reminds that more than 500 cars – including 100 new ones – will be present and customizable with more than 800 improvements. These include the 2021 Cadillac #31 Whelen Racing DPi-VR, 2019 Ginetta #6 Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1 and the 2021 edition Porsche Mission R.
The Kyalami race track in South Africa will be integrated into the franchise for the first time. Just like the Hakone track. Two new tracks that will join the great classics such as Laguna Seca, Maple Valley, Silverstone, Suzuka and Spa-Francorchamps.
