it looks like multidimensional The modding scene may have to pack it, as players using mods have reportedly been unable to launch the game after the most recent patch.
According to Eurogamer, PC players using mods can no longer launch the game when the mod is turned on.Warner Bros has Recently filed a takedown notice Video showing MultiVersus character mods on YouTube, now in the latest patch, mods of any kind are not available.
So far, MultiVersus’ mods have mostly been skins that are only visible to the player who has them installed, because obviously anything that affects the gameplay will be unfair to other players. But this change in a recent patch prevents players from using these mods, at least until some sort of workaround is found, if at all possible.
Modder GhostsSoup notes that mods don’t seem to work anymore, and promises to update everyone if a recent patch fixes the problem, but does note that mods of any kind are getting killed for it.
The first season of MultiVersus launched after a brief delay earlier this week, although the first character to arrive, Morty, still has no planned release date.
Gremlins’ Stripe and DC’s Black Adam were also recently confirmed as playable characters following an unexpected early reveal, and some recent data has revealed that The Wizard of Oz’s Wicked Witch of the West and the titular Beetlejuice may also make an appearance on the platform fighter.
The season 1 release obviously didn’t go as planned, and considering Morty hasn’t arrived yet and Rick has no firm date, there aren’t many new features to actually bring it out of beta, but that doesn’t really matter as the game is definitely still playing Slap.
If you have mods installed, Multiversus will no longer start. They kill any kind of modding. If we can find a solution to this problem, I’ll make sure to release it, but at the moment, none of the mods work.
