We definitely haven’t heard the end of God of War Ragnarok today. The game returns with new speculation, this time around the release date.
Just hours after God of War Ragnarok received its classification from the Korean Accredited Body, a release window is a little more looming.
A September release for God of War Ragnarok?
This is enough to fuel speculation about the upcoming God of War Ragnarok release. While the game is expected to be featured at an upcoming State of Play or Summer Game Fest, Santa Monica Studio’s next production has received its classification from the Korean equivalent of PEGI. As a hint, Horizon Forbidden West had received its own three months before its release. An announcement should therefore be made promptly, with a deadline.
And now it’s official descendants that are reviving the rumors surrounding the game’s launch: Several T-shirts and other merchandising have appeared at one of the British specialists for geek goodies. The Geeky Zone Store has just added a series of items featuring the image of God of War Ragnarök, which are expected to be released in late September 2022.
If the date of the goodies doesn’t mean anything in itself, it does suggest that Kratos and Atreus will return to PS4 and PS5 by the start of the school year. In fact, this type of merch is available in a window close to the game’s release to accompany its launch. It is therefore likely that God of War Ragnarok will indeed be released in September, as rumors have suggested, especially since the developers have confirmed on numerous occasions that it will be available in 2022. In any case, once again it will be waiting for an official communication from Sony before getting carried away. And we hope it will happen quickly, very, very quickly.
