For a long time, developers in the industry have compensated for sometimes very difficult working conditions with what is at hand and hidden the possibility of finding your own, just to give curious gamers a wink. But sometimes the handling is so complicated that nobody can find out about the lull.
What’s on the menu
Given a stark absence of discovery, One of the anonymous people in charge of the menu on the first Xbox finally decided to get in touch with our colleagues in Kotaku and explain, step by step, the manipulation that must be carried out to get this Easter egg from a long time ago discover:
- Go to the Music tab and insert an audio CD
- Copy the CD from the menu as a new album
- Change the album name to Timmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! (The letter is available there 26 times)
- Return to the main menu
- Go to Settings and then to the System tab
- Admire the list of designers in the console menu (the shot is available in our picture gallery to save you a trip back to the basement).
This will remind the not so young of you of a specific one adventure, the daron in the matter. However, one question remains: why did you finally decide to reveal the trick? Kotaku’s anonymous source explains:
It’s been 20 years and I thought it would be cool for people to know about this secret. It was a little now or never. It’s been so long since I even remembered the trick of accessing it! I had to turn my Xbox back on and try several times to be sure.
Journalist Alexandra Hall can say that this discovery is not the last that hides the first console from Microsoft: one of its designers had unveiled Seamus Blackley in 2017 that there was an esater egg that had never been discovered. Contacted by Kotaku, the prospect confirmed that his secret was in the console launch animation, and so he was still standing. See you in 20 years?
