An award-winning film shot entirely in GTA 5 is coming to theaters soon. It’s more than surprising, and yet…
There is no need to present the GTA license, a Rockstar video game monument that is completely inviolable as it grows larger. It’s simple: GTA 5 and its multiplayer mode have gone beyond the mere video game stage and become the center of a whole range of other, quite incredible activities (thanks to mods, by the way). From RP to crazy projects, everything is possible. Like Fortnite, GTA Online
A film made thanks to the award-winning GTA 5 and coming to theaters soon
Yes, a film created entirely in GTA 5 is possible and called Grand Theft Hamlet. It tells us the story of two unemployed actors during the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic who try to adapt Hamlet in GTA 5. A most surprising project signed by Pinny Grylls and Sam Crane, but clearly effective since it was financed and the broadcast rights were given to Mibu, a streaming giant that loves such concepts. The film also won awards, yes, yes, awards. He received the Jury Prize for Best Documentary SXSW
Grand Theft Hamlet will also be released in cinemas in the USA and certainly in other countries, although nothing has been announced on the subject. At the moment there does not seem to be any plans to spread it in our territory, although we suspect that it will reach us at some point, one way or another. In the meantime, we leave you with a little appetizer clip shared by the BFI London Film Festival. It still looks very much like a GTA 5 RP game.
