crow’s rock. Home of my absolute favorite Witcher 3 quest about the bloody baron. And the location with the absolute worst fast travel point in the game! How many times have I walked this path through the city to the center, cursing every puddle of mud and vowing never to come back here!
But thanks to the new NextGen update for The Witcher 3, I can finally bury this feud with Crow’s Rock! The reason for this is so mundane that it almost hurts how long we had to wait for it!
We just received the keys for the review version of the PC version and are now preparing a test for you. But I wanted to share this wonderful news with you right away! You can find out how our test continues and what to expect here:

The Witcher 3: where is our next-gen update review?
Crow’s Rock: Cheers to the new fast travel point!
What was the problem? Crow’s Perch is a key focal point during the massive Bloody Baron quest. Also, this town houses an armorer, a grindstone and also a chest where Geralt can store his things. You will also meet some Gwint players there if your heart beats for the card game. In short, I’ve paid countless visits to Crow’s Rock during my numerous runs of The Witcher 3.
Unfortunately, Crow’s Perch also had the most annoying fast travel point of the whole game. Because he dropped Geralt in front of the city wall and I had to walk all the way inside. Over the bridge through the city gate, through the alleys where I was constantly stopped by people in need, further over the muddy street, through a second gate and finally I was inside the city. Once my business in Crow’s Perch was done, I had to make my way back to continue from the fast travel point outside of town. I probably know the way better now than the way to the subway in my own neighborhood.
What has changed? A big tear of joy rolls down my cheek as I type these lines. Crow’s Rock actually got a second fast travel point with the NextGen update. And now hold on tight: Inside the city!! Never before has such a small change made me so happy.
The old fast travel point outside of the city still exists, but is complemented by the one in the city center. However, this should not be present in the game from the beginning, but is only built up in the course of the Baron quest.
