The highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. is today the main subject of a talented animator who completely reworks the trailer.
As is often the case with video game film adaptations, Super Mario Bros. is highly anticipated by fans, although there are still some apprehensions. Especially across the Atlantic with the presence of Chris Pratt in the role of Mario, this has more than just something to chill. Things are a little different in France with a quality VF and the presence of actor Pierre Tessier, known for his voice talents.
Whatever happens, the game seems to have animation faithful to the games. And to be even more faithful, an amateur animator made the trailer using the graphics of the Nintendo 64 game.
Super Mario Bros. the movie in N64 style
As you can see, the video is a near frame-by-frame recreation of the trailer, with authentic Super Mario 64 elements.
Here is the long-awaited Mario Movie trailer but remade with N64 graphics! I made a partial version of the trailer earlier this month, but wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested in a full version. I challenged you to get the first part to 10,000 likes and you more than rose to the challenge! Thank you very much !
In short, a very nostalgic vision of the caravan that smells good of the 90s and which proves once again that with ideas and with the help of technology we can achieve anything. Or almost. This amateur rendering is almost more compelling than the 1993 disaster starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario and Luigi, respectively. Fortunately, the two actors were able to catch up on a great career afterwards.
The release of Super Mario Bros. is planned for 2023 without further details in France or internationally. But it shouldn’t take long.
