Dead Space’s survival horror, The Callisto Protocol, emerged during State of Play with some PS5 gameplay. The title will be available in 2022.

The State of Play has focused on horror action with Resident Evil 4 Remake, the PS VR 2 port of Resident Evil Village and there The Callisto Protocol. Its creator has provided a trailer showing the release date.

The Callisto Protocol, worthy heir to Dead Space?

The man behind The Callisto Protocol is Glen Schofield, the father of Dead Space, and it shows more than ever in the latest gameplay trailer. Between the hero, the weapons, and the monastic atmosphere, it really feels like the Visceral Games franchise.

The game takes place in the year 2320 on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto. The game tells the story of Jacob Lee, an inmate of Black Iron Prison, and his struggle to survive after a mysterious infection throws the moon into chaos. As guards and inmates transform into monstrous creatures called biophages, Jacob must fight to survive the horrors of Black Iron and uncover the dark secrets the United Jupiter Company is hiding.

Contrary to what was announced a long time ago, the game is no longer part of the PUBG universe. The new information of this State of Play is that the software is arriving 2. December 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.
