Remedy Entertainment is concocting a nomadic Nintendo Switch version of Alan Wake Remastered. A major TV station has also acquired the rights for a series adaptation.
It’s been 12 years since Alan Wake was released on Xbox 360. A special anniversary, with the announcement of the long-awaited sequel in the same year, which Remedy briefly celebrated via video.
Alan Wake on Nintendo Switch and TV
Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake opened the anniversary video alongside Ilkka Villi, one of Alan’s actors, to announce a Switch version of the remaster. The release should be next fall, but only dematerialized through the eShop, unlike the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which had a physical edition.
We also learned from the video that the Finnish studio had sold the adaptation rights to American broadcaster AMC. It may mean nothing to you, and yet this one has seen great plays. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead or Mad Men, it was on AMC. And so this broadcaster born in 1984 will set the TV series Alan Wake
remedial projects
In addition to the spooky footage of Alan Wake 2, Remedy Entertainment has at least three projects in development.
There will be a Control 2, but also a co-op multiplayer spin-off in this universe. Last April, the studio had a nice surprise in store for us: a major remake of Max Payne 1 & 2.
Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of every member of Remedy, and we know millions of fans around the world feel the same way. We’re thrilled to once again be working with our partners at Rockstar Games to bring the story, action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games to players in an unprecedented way.
