Have you fallen in love with the indie game Road 96 like so many others? DigixArt and Ravenscourt have a great giveaway that will be available very soon.
The Montpellier folks at DigixArt aren’t done with Road 96 and have a big reveal for us today.
Road 96: Miles 0 will be unveiled and dated in a snap
For two years, the studio has worked hard to offer Road 96: Mile 0, a prequel to the game that will be released in Summer 2021. In this new narrative adventure, the developers wanted to delve into the character of Zoe and in particular tell her origins before the summer 1996 road trip.
The action takes place in White Sands, the affluent municipality of Petria, and will feature two protagonists. Zoe, which players already know, and Kaito, whom some will recognize as one of the heroes of Lost in Harmony, another DigixArt game.
Born on the dark and dangerous side of Colton City, Kaito moved to White Sands with his parents with the aim of finding work and escaping the city’s pollution. Explore the inner worlds of both characters. Although the narrative aspect remains the central element Road 96: Mile 0
, Zoe and Kaito will skate through psychedelic musical passages. These imaginary excursions are a unique blend of rhythmic gameplay and narrative choices that allow players to influence and shape their emotional journey.
Yoan Fanise, CEO of DigixArt, tells us more:
In mile 0, we wanted to show where Zoe comes from and the reasons that made her give up her comfortable life. However, we didn’t want to do it in a conventional way, we chose a more insane way, with musical sequences full of metaphors, going through the beliefs and doubts of Zoe and Kaito. The funny thing is, YOU decide how to develop them.

The Midnight Soundtrack
If you were flattered by the music in the trailer, you know it’s to The Midnight’s song “Land Locked Heart.”
This song is about the paradox of coming home. Even if it’s where you grew up and everything around you proves it, at some point you don’t feel at home anymore. At some point you feel like you need to leave this place or stay there and continue a story that is no longer yours. We’re excited to see this title come to life in Road 96: Mile 0.
