If you thought multi-console games were going to stop you from crossing your paths with scammers. Think again No platform has been immune since the advent of cloud cheats, and the advent of AI has made the hunt for cheaters even more complex.

In the good old days, keeping your game safe from scammers was easy. Take software that constantly scans your computer’s memory, and if something goes wrong with the game, there’s a good chance you’ve caught a pretty fish. Unfortunately, the days of VAC, Punkbusters and other BattlEye seem to be over. In fact, cheat software has gotten deeper and deeper into the system, and today every good anti-cheat checks what is happening at the kernel level. In short, it is not easy to escape the police by staying on a machine.
Consoles not spared
Here the advent of internet connections has changed the game. From now on we no longer install cheats, we pay a subscription to enjoy software that runs in the cloud, elsewhere, on a server that the anti-cheat never checks. And there it becomes quite difficult to control all the data flow entering and exiting your RJ45 port without affecting the fluency of the game, the fact remains that the cheat software must still be able to read the information from the Game and that is their weakness (we look at what comes out and look for a strange signal). The latest trend is therefore to use an AI that does the chipping for us. Specifically, it is sufficient to send the video stream to a server or to run deep learning AI. The latter analyzes what is being sent to it and immediately sends back the appropriate commands to blow up the heads of our enemies.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m bringing you the next generation of cheating that’s now available on consoles, and has been for a while, but lately it’s becoming more popular and more of a trend, consoles are no longer a safe place to keep your Play games legitimately pic.twitter.com/iEQzPVFf1h

The benefit for software developers is that this system also works on consoles, which increases the number of potential customers (check out this beautiful ad that touts the system’s merits). Additionally, unless you disconnect all of the streamers in the world, it will get complicated fighting this new breed of scam. It’s this kind of cheat that’s just exploding and rotting the games of millions of players, whether you’re in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (and its Battle Royale Warzone).
Activision is now aware of the console cheats and likely plans to remove them. They have started shutting down the YouTube channels that advertise the cheats, this is good for the community pic.twitter.com/e6Y2DjCflk

If it has to do with it for a while Activision assures us that teams in the fight against cheaters and against cheat software providers are constantly working to improve the playing conditions, but also to protect customers, as many sellers of cheating software turn out to be predatory pirates. We can only advise you to stick to the rules, and for our part we have chosen to embrace our lack of skills.
