Some players who purchased the recently released Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 2 expect one of the rewards they will receive is double XP tokens for at least 10 hours.However, there is a special caveat: to get these double XP tokens, you should buy a special edition of the game through Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War or Vanguard, but it seems that enough players are missing this, because Activision
“We’re aware of some confusion regarding the Vault Edition’s in-game store-exclusive rewards,” reads a post on the official Call of Duty Twitter.
“As such, we have decided to reward all players who currently own or purchase any version of the MWII Vault Edition with 10 hours of Dual XP Tokens and 10 Hours of Dual Weapon XP Tokens. Current owners who have not yet received tokens should look forward to the next Check their account within 48 hours.”
That’s not the only point of contention the game has uncovered recently. Oddly though, a hotel in Amsterdam is considering legal action against Activision over an in-game description of the building it was in. Buildings can be copyrighted in both Europe and the US, so despite the fact that the hotel’s name doesn’t appear in the game, the fact that the building clearly exists can cause problems.
Players of Modern Warfare 2 also made some money by selling the in-game skins they got from Burger King, with one player making over $200 after just 3 visits.
