The battle for Reputation Master in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 appears to be over, as one team of players appears to have achieved the achievement ahead of everyone else in the live stream. However, it wasn’t without a bit of controversy, as screenshots of the VPN in action raised questions about the ethics of the first-place team. Who doesn’t love a little anchor drama?
This achievement isn’t entirely a grassroots effort either! There’s an official Call of Duty: Scramble event on Twitch, featuring a variety of popular names in the Call of Duty gaming world. The goal is simple – groups of passionate players hunker down and compete to see who can achieve the lofty goal of a Reputation Master first.

Reputation Master requires the team to reach max level and then resets the progress ten times, which is quite a lot. So you can see how crazy the winning team’s pace is. Hitting Prestige Master just six days after release is crazy.
However, there is also the controversy I mentioned earlier. During the live broadcast, the winning team (the Pits) was discovered to have a VPN enabled during the game. The argument against it is that moving lobbies to areas where players are less skilled would make the game easier and gain experience points faster. To address the issue, team member 8Spez said this was only being done for two games because the team was unable to connect to Call of Duty servers in their region.
It’s unclear whether Activision Blizzard will make some kind of ruling. Honestly, this is an influencer activation to hype the game rather than a major esports event competing for trophies, so I doubt there will be any official ruling. It’s just a little bit of fun, you know. Regardless, the other teams are continuing their climb to Prestige Master, which you can watch now.
