Squint, and it might look a little like BioShock — but it’s not bioshock. In fact, this new game is Judas.but it comes from Ken Levine (creator of BioShock) and ghost story game (Working with the crew who worked on BioShock) so you can see why you think it’s the same game.
Previous interviews have pointed to the game as an immersive sim, but judging by the movie trailer, there’s still a lot to discern.
Check out the trailer and see for yourself.
Here’s the synopsis for the game, according to the developer itself:
The disintegrating starship. A desperate escape plan. You are mysterious and troubled Judas. Your only hope of survival is to make or break an alliance with your worst enemy. Will you work together to fix what you broke – or let it burn?
We’ve previously heard that Ken Levine’s new game takes inspiration from Shadow of Mordor and will be “more challenging” than BioShock. The last we heard about the title was that it was stuck in development hell, but judging by the trailer embedded above, it does look like it has overcome that.
As of this writing, Judas has no release date, or even a window. It looks like a real current-gen addition, as it’s only listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game has been in development for five years, though, so we’re hoping the “coming soon” tag means we’ll see it sooner rather than later.
