Ubisoft revealed that, Partition 2 Finally something new. This is the game’s first major patch of 2022, and it arrives at the same time as the new season. Season 9: Hidden Alliance will include the usual stuff: new objectives, new gear and weapons, and a new Battle Pass.
But there are also plenty of free add-ons, in the form of a countdown to co-op, and a new weapon upgrade feature called “Pro.” The Hidden League kicks off on Thursday, May 12th.
Countdown is an eight-player co-op mode, where everyone is tasked with clearing the power plant from enemies and other dangers. The players are divided into two teams of four, and they have only 15 minutes to complete the job. Each team will be deployed in a different location and face unique challenges and goals. Think of it as a lightweight experience.
Expertise, on the other hand, is a feature that lets players level up items simply by using them. The more you use an item or weapon, the more proficiency levels you gain. Once an item reaches its maximum level, you can upgrade its base stats.
The feat level takes into account all items you’re upgrading, which in turn opens up the ability to change item levels. The good news is that both tiers apply to your entire account, so each of your characters will be heading towards the same goal.
On the cosmetic side, you can expect two costume events throughout Season 9. If any of those are interesting to you, The Division 2 is launching a free weekend on all platforms from May 13-15.
Hidden Alliance is the first of three seasons scheduled to launch in 2022, although Ubisoft hasn’t said what new game content, if any, we can expect from the other two seasons.
Ubisoft initially promised that the new Division 2 content would be coming later in 2021, but ultimately pushed it back to February 2022, then again indefinitely until 2022. Since then, The Division 2 has been rerunning past seasons.
