After Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team mentions that it is still working on multiple projects at the same time. One of them, which is not Kronos: The New Dawn, is about to take a step forward.
Even before Silent Hill 2 Remake became a success, Bloober Team announced that it was working on various projects in collaboration with various companies. Project C has been made official and is called Cronos: The New Dawn. A survival horror halfway between Dead Space and Resident Evil that promises a lot “something special to spice up and increase the tension”. When part of the team works on it, the rest of the studio will be reassigned to another, yet unannounced game.
The Silent Hill 2 Remake studio is already very busy with two games
After the remake of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team will try to deliver Dead Space. It won't be a copy and paste, but from the announcement trailer alone we can see the influence very clearly. During an interview, the studio confirmed again that several projects are in development and already spoke about a second game. “At Bloober we have two production teams. They work independently of each other, but share experiences from previous projects such as The Medium, Layers of Fear, Observer, Silent Hill 2, Blair Witch, etc. All I can say today is that after completing work on Silent Hill 2 Remake, a team will begin pre-production work on a new project » said Wojciech Piejko, director of Cronos: The New Dawn.
Therefore, work on Silent Hill 2 Remake is generally completed, but updates are still expected. It is possible that part of the second team is already involved in this new project. What is that? Well, we don't know. The Bloober Team had previously announced the implementation of two ideas. First of all, there is Project R, which will come from a license from Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead). Then there's Project M, which in collaboration will be a smaller game than Silent Hill 2 Remake “with the world’s best game developers for Nintendo platforms”. Including the Nintendo Switch 2? Given the words used, there's a very good chance that this is indeed the case.
