In an interview, the actress has now spoken about her character and the status of the production, divulging some previously unknown information.

So far, most information about the new Marvel series “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” has been kept under wraps. In the latest episode of the American talk show “The View,” actress Patti LuPone spoke a little more freely about her involvement in the much-anticipated series for the first time.

Alongside Kathryn Hahn in the titular role of Agatha, LuPone says she will play a character named Lilia Calderun. This is a “450-year-old witch who has her roots in Sicily and whose special ability is divination”. Calderun is also the keeper of the Book of Cagliostro, which has been passed down through her family for several generations. In the Marvel Comics, the powerful witch eventually becomes an ally of Doct or Strange.

LuPone further revealed that a coven has formed around her character. This also includes Hahn’s Agatha. Other members are also played by actress Aubrey Plaza (“The White Lotus”) and Joe Locke (“Heartstopper”). However, Locke will not portray a sorcerer, just a so-called “familiar”. Its task is to take care of the needs of magical creatures such as witches or vampires and to carry out their orders.

When the show’s co-host Ana Navarro asked LuPone about the show’s release date, the actress explained that filming was still ongoing. But she expects the series to Featured on Disney+ in 2024 will start.
