Remedy released a development video that walks you through Alan Wake 2focusing on the playable character Agent Saga Anderson.
This is the first episode in development that not only discusses the co-protagonists, but also takes you to the pristine forests of the Pacific Northwest.
Saga Anderson is an FBI profiler known for solving impossible cases with unexpected leaps of logic. The saga is not the same as Alan Wake, but both are key parts of the story and are connected in a number of ways.
A newcomer to supernatural lore in the world of Alan Wake, the Saga is used as a point of view character to guide new players into the universe. But being able to play as a saga also provides depth for players returning to the series.
In the game, you can play as Alan or Saga in two separate single-player stories, in any order of play. Both can fight enemies with guns and flashlights while exploring different locations such as Bright Falls, the town of Watery, and an alternate dimension, Dark Place.
Thirteen years after Alan Wake’s disappearance, the FBI sends Agent Saga Anderson to Bright Falls to investigate a series of ritual murders. There, she finds herself entangled in Wake’s supernatural horror stories, hoping he will escape captivity.
“Alan Wake 2” will land on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 17. Remedy will offer free content and two paid expansion packs after the game launches: Night Springs and Lake House.
