a new one Alan Wake 2 The update is based on feedback, fixes a few issues, and adds some new features.
Earlier this week, Remedy Entertainment released the latest update (version 1.15) for Alan Wake 2, the first update of the year for the critically acclaimed survival horror game. For the most part, the update delivers a bunch of fixes, some of which we’ll go over in a minute, but the biggest new addition is the arrival of the chapter select feature. With this update, you can now “choose to play any mission in a previously unlocked game.” This does come with a small caveat, as it will load a “pre-made save game regardless of your own progress,” meaning items and inventory will be “predetermined based on the mission.” Don’t worry about your manual saves, though, as you do keep them.

As Remedy points out, this does mean you can “replay the Let’s Sing mission over and over again, probably annoying your neighbors!” Wait, you mean you haven’t replayed Dark Herald at full speed yet? Well, now you have no excuse not to.
The update also adds a very useful accessibility option – you can now “choose between low and normal horror flash visual and audio intensity.” The game does have its fair share of random jump scares and can be visually stressful as well, so hopefully this update will make the game more popular with non-horror fans and those who can’t play games with strong visuals.
In addition to these features, a number of fixes have been introduced. For one, “Items required for overlapping rituals in RE03 Local Girl can now only be picked up after players find their respective clues.” An issue in RE05 Old Gods has also been addressed, whereby “players can now pick up items from locked Remove the basement fuse from the container without having to solve the additional combination lock puzzle.” There are a lot of other fixes in the update, so check out the blog post for the full list.
Alan Wake recently traveled to another world and is the latest addition to the Super Smash Bros. horror franchise Dead by Daylight.
