1. What is GameStar Plus and what does it offer me?
With GameStar Plus you get our online subscription for more game knowledge. You can recognize our plus content, whether articles, videos, podcast episodes or discounts by the green marking and the plus logo.

2. What does GameStar Plus cost?

Determine for yourself how long your subscription should run. You get the best price with the annual subscription for only € 4.99 a month. If you want to test GameStar Plus first, you should take the Flexi subscription with monthly cancellation.
3. Is there a discount for print subscribers?
As a subscriber to the magazine, you save € 1 per month for each subscription – even when you book the magazine archive. For example, if you take out an annual subscription including the archive, you save € 2 per month.
4. Can I try GameStar Plus?
You can test GameStar Plus by subscribing to a Flexi subscription and get access to all content for € 6.99. You can cancel this subscription every month with one click in the user profile, always 2 weeks at the end of the term. This allows you maximum flexibility and you can switch to a cheaper subscription package at any time later. Don't forget, Plus costs the equivalent of only € 1.75 a week, cheaper than a coffee at the bakery.

5. Is there a tracking system at GameStar Plus?
Most tracking pixels come from advertising and are therefore automatically eliminated with GameStar Plus. We only set cookies that are technically necessary – for example to log in. We use Google Analytics to evaluate our website. In addition, the IVW documents (INFOnline) the pageviews for us and our partners. VG Wort is a tracking pixel. We support the services of VG Wort, an association that exercises copyright usage rights for authors and publishers and uses them to generate additional income for authors. In addition, further settings can be made in the content filter in the user control center under My GameStar Plus: One-page reading mode, autoplay of videos and video player running.
6. What does "without banner advertising" mean?
With GameStar Plus there is no (banner) advertising, overlays, pop-ups, advertorials or advertising before, during or after videos. In addition to GameStar.de, this also applies to GamePro.de and both apps. Self-promotion, for example for special issues or GameStar PCs, is excluded from the freedom of advertising.
7. Why do I see advertising on GamePro.de?
In order to surf GamePro Plus on GamePro.de without banner advertising, the same account on GamePro.de must be used as on GameStar.de or GameStar Plus. If it doesn't work right away, please log out of GamePro.de, delete cookies if necessary and log in again.
There can be two reasons for this: Did you change your account data (user name or password)? This changes the link that you have to use. Go to https://www.gamestar.de/plus/podcasts/, take your new RSS link and add it to your app. OR are you not using the right apps? You can insert the feed URL in a suitable podcatcher app, such as Apple's podcasts app (not to be confused with iTunes), free apps such as Castbox (Android), Podcast Addict (Android) and Overcast (iOS). You can then download and listen to all podcast episodes directly in a podcatcher app. Regular RSS readers such as Feedly also recognize our feed and inform you as soon as a new episode appears.

Magazine archive – Read the GameStar magazine digitally
1. What is part of the »Booklet & DVD Video Archive«?
With the additional package »Booklet and DVD-Video Archive« you get access to all GameStar booklets since the first issue 10/1997 as well as the steadily growing number of thousands of booklet videos. You can get the latest issue digitally, three days before the kiosk appointment. The magazine archive works directly in the browser on any device, regardless of whether it is a PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone.
Yes, the magazine archive contains all normal GameStar magazines and is always up to date.
The magazine videos also include the spaceship GameStar or Die Redaktion.
All booklets contained can be downloaded as PDF.
2. What does the additional package »Booklet & DVD Video Archive« cost?
The upgrade is available for 2 € or for only 1 € for all print subscribers. The notice period corresponds to the respective GameStar Plus package.
3. How can I order the additional package »Booklet & DVD video archive«?
The booklet archive can be purchased during the ordering process either directly or at any time afterwards via the user control center or the overview page of GameStar Plus using the link »Book booklet and video archive«.
4. Why can't I use the »Booklet & DVD video archive«?
It may take up to 24 hours for the magazine archive to work properly. If it still doesn't work, please log out and log in again. If it still doesn't work, clear your cache and cookies and log in again.
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to log into the app with a GameStar Plus account with access to the magazine archive. For this you need a separate subscription and a separate account.
Account & payment
1. What payment methods are supported by GameStar Plus?
At GameStar Plus we currently support payment via PayPal or credit card.
2. Why are certain payment methods not offered?
With the above methods, we already cover the common payment systems. The other systems still on the market either have too high fees, too high risks, do not support digital products, do not allow subscription products or, in our opinion, have (still) too few users. But we are constantly checking new payment providers and will integrate them into our ordering process if necessary. On the other hand, payment methods such as direct debit / transfer make little sense, since GameStar Plus is an online offer. And especially with online offers, it is important that you have direct access to the content after completion. In the case of direct debits and transfers, however, it takes 3-5 working days for the recipient to be credited; beforehand we could not give you access to Plus. With the current payment options, readers and GameStar are on the safe side and you get direct access after ordering.
3. How can I change my payment method or address?

4. How can I switch my GameStar Plus package early to a cheaper rate?
Directly in the user control center via the link My GameStar Plus in the login box. Under »Packages and Options« just click on »Upgrade« next to your current package and select the desired, longer tariff. Days, weeks or months that have already been paid for but not used are credited proportionately.
5. How is my Plus subscription extended?
GameStar Plus is an online subscription that we offer in different terms. You can cancel your subscription at any time in the account with one click, but you have to do this at least two weeks before the end of the term.
Your subscription is automatically renewed for the original term. For example, if you have selected the Flexi subscription, your subscription runs for one month and is automatically extended by one month each. The same applies to the quarterly subscription and the annual package, which are also extended by the original term.
6. How long is my notice period?
Two weeks at the end of the term, regardless of the selected subscription package.
7. How can I cancel?
To do this, please click on your user picture at the top right and select "My GameStar Plus" from the menu. There you can cancel your subscription at any time within the cancellation period. But don't worry, you will have access to all Plus content until your subscription expires.
8. Why do you charge in advance instead of monthly?
Internet payments incur fees for each individual booking. The fewer transactions, the cheaper. For example, if we were to debit monthly instead of once in advance for the 12-month package, the current price would not be sustainable. This is mainly the reason why the 3-month and 1-month packages are somewhat more expensive.
9. I bought GameStar Plus, but I don't have access to the content.
It is very rare that the switch to Plus does not work directly. How to get GameStar Plus quickly, try the points one after the other:
- Give our system 5 minutes to set your account to the new level.
- Log out of GameStar.de and log in again.
- Restart your browser.
- Clear your cookies and browsing history.

10. Why can't I see all videos as a Plus subscriber?
Then there are older videos that come from our DVD video archive. These are only visible if you have booked the additional option »Booklet and DVD video archive« (see from point 6).
