A Look at SteamDB shows: Halo Infinite got off to a great start and at least at the beginning a complete success.

What is praised?
The gunplay, the sound effects and the apparently very balanced movement, which are important for an MP shooter, have met with positive feedback from many players. Of the Steam-User RIK
says about this:
The gunplay has turned out really good, the sounds have a lot on the box and the movement is really well solved all around, also in terms of sprinting. Not too fast and not too slow!
The technology also seems to be running very smoothly – in contrast to Battlefield 2042 – according to this review:
The game runs great in terms of performance, but you should set the Minimum FPS
set to 120, so I really get this FPS and not like before spongy ~ 70. In general, there are countless PC-specific settings for PC gamers! Really well implemented 🙂

The servers run extremely well, no in-game problems despite the huge onslaught, only rare crashes when a game is found, but it is not tragic that simply restarting it for a short time.
Incidentally, in Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode, you can finally test whether the mouse and keyboard or the controller are better suited for shooting:

What is being criticized?
No opinion would be complete without also naming the negative or criticized aspects of the multiplayer part of Halo Infinite. Because there are also quite a few reviews that are still rather critical of the game and currently do not recommend it.
This includes, for example User Faunts
, which allows the game to have some good features such as gunplay, but the bottom line is that it does not want to make a recommendation, mainly because of the in-game monetization:
Vehicles are weak and useless in the sandbox. In most cases, it is more useful to get around on foot.
No matter how much I enjoy the gameplay, and if it does [der Entwickler] 343 has finally listened to what the gamers wanted them to do, it’s the business model that pulls it all down. It wasn’t enough for them to add new things and put a price tag on them, they even took simple things like color schemes and turned them into another source of income. Sure, we still have access to six basic colors, but that’s it. No more custom colors, no choice, no freedom.
Ultimately, however, you should form your own opinion: Just play it yourself, after all, trying it out won’t cost you a cent.
What about the Halo Infinite campaign?
The Halo Infinite campaign is not part of the Free-2-Play offer and has not yet been released. Here it stays with the planned release date: On December 8th, the Master Chief is only allowed to go out again. Not completely, however, as the co-op mode will be missing when it is released:

The Forge, in which players can edit the Halo maps and create their own modes, is not yet part of the package at the beginning. This will only follow at a later date.
