Among Us has become a real phenomenon this year, previously reserved for PC and mobile gamers. That is changing now, because Among Us is at least coming to a console – and very soon.
Yesterday there was a Nintendo Direct with a focus on indie titles and it came with a surprise. Among Us, the indie hit of the year, is coming to Nintendo Switch. And not just at some point, but almost immediately. The game includes cross-play support so you can assassinate your friends on PC too. Among Us is now available as a download version from the Nintendo eShop for a mere 4.29 dollars.
An early release in Xbox Game Pass for PC is also planned. It remains to be seen whether Among Us will also be available in versions for PlayStation and Xbox. After the Nintendo release, the chances are not that bad.
Among Us has been around since 2018. However, it only became known this year through various Twitch streams, which made the game extremely popular. Even the well-known US politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez streamed the title via Twitch to motivate young voters to cast their votes.
