Resident Evil 4 Remake announces its news, but the latest revelations from the developers are likely to divide fans greatly. More than the original.
It can be said that Resident Evil 4 is one of the most iconic episodes of the license. Back then, the game reinvented the codes of the saga, opting for a brand-new camera, a very Hollywood-ready staging, and a slow-moving action twist.
Reisdent Evil 4 Remake will not only make friends
Despite the game’s excellent reception from press and players alike, Resident Evil 4 is also the first game to have so severely divided its fan base. The reasons for such a split in the community were numerous, and one of them can be discussed again in the remake. Spoiler Alert!
Interviewed in the magazine EDGE (reported on Twitter), the developers actually claimed that the last segment of the game will actually be there and then some. We’re obviously talking about the famous island crammed with military structures and armored mutants armed with sulphates and other rocket launchers. Exactly here, resident Evil 4 sank into pure and hard action after pushing us for hours, but not only because the island also brought with it terrible passages, arguably felt through the prison (Ada) or the laboratories, for example.
But for many, that’s it on the island Resident Evil 4 turned into a true TPS and lost its luster to end in an explosive final battle with rocket launchers. A home straight that clearly didn’t please the fans, including those who obviously did enjoy the rest of the game, but that could change.
During the interview, the developers tell us that they have split into three teams to work individually on the three acts of the game: the village, the castle and the island. At the end of the development, all the teams met to revise each part and check the rhythm of each one to give consistency to the whole.
Not all fans like the last act
So the island will be back inside Resident Evil 4 Remake and the developers even claim that “it will bring a lot more” than the original game. Simple words whose meaning is not really determined yet. Should we expect more meaning than just an explosive final sprint like in the base game? Or a complete overhaul of the section? Good question.
At first glance if Resident Evil 4 Remake The action aspect is still there, traditional horror should definitely be present. During our preview, we also noticed some real work on the atmosphere, instilling more fear than the original game. However, it’s hard to say if this will continue throughout the adventure.
Fans, meanwhile, will surely hope that the final act cuts down on its action-packed action a bit and avoids re-entering the Hollywood shooter. Anyway, if he decides to throw his heart and soul into the action, we hope he’ll do well, since until now there have never been really good results for the license controller in hand, especially because of of gameplay, always so heavy that never really seems to take on what it offers regardless of the episode. And it’s not Resident Evil 5, 6 and Village, which makes us say the opposite.
