E3 is still in full swing and the gaming world is looking forward to tomorrow’s highlights – such as Elden Ring, Stalker 2, Starfield or Battlefield 2042.
But what about today’s games? Like every Monday, the Steam Charts provide information about which titles are currently very trendy. A newcomer can be particularly surprising – because not only does he secure himself the top of the Steam Charts, but can also place himself twice in the top 3 Steam bestsellers.
An anime fighter steals the show from everyone
More precisely, it’s about Guilty Gear Strive: The new game from the fighting game experts at Arc System Works, who are known for the BlazBlue series, among other things. In the period from June 11 to 13, 2021, the anime flogger sold so well that both the standard and deluxe editions landed at the top of the Steam charts.
This is what it’s all about: Guilty Gear Strive is a classic 2D fighting game, similar to Street Fighter 5 or Dragon Ball FighterZ. However, this only refers to the gameplay, because optically the new part offers a new and really nice mixture of 2D and 3D graphics. The best thing to do is to see for yourself in the trailer:

However, the game not only sells excessively well, the players also seem to like it: 83 percent of the Steam reviews are currently positive. The various game mechanics and the outstanding netcode are particularly praised. The biggest point of criticism, however, is the lobby system, which makes the search for players a test of patience due to overloaded servers.
Battlefield 2042 is already in the Steam Charts
The newly announced Battlefield 2042 also made the leap into the bestseller list – the action-packed gameplay trailer, which was much better received by shooter fans than the first cinematic trailer, is likely to have played a major role. Here you can see the good part again:
